ABOUT SFE

SCHOOL FOOD ENTERPRISES (SFE)

SFE is a company with an enormous vision. In the Spring of 2005, the founders of SFE began collaborating on the vision to create premier products and services for the School Food Industry. Founders, James T. Oliver and Kenneth R. Peck shared that common vision.

In 2005, SFE launched a line Whole Wheat Whole Grain Breads that are frozen and boxed to meet the dietary and logistical needs of the schools.

In the ensuing 8 years, SFE created a full line of bread products designed specifically for schools. All products are designed and formulated to meet or exceed all USDA Regulations and Guidelines.

In December 2010, President Obama signed into law, the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act. This historic legislation marked the most comprehensive changes to the school nutrition program in more than a generation. The last update to school meals standards was over 15 years ago. Since that time, tremendous advancements in our understanding of human nutrition have occurred. In response to that reality the HHFKA required USDA to update school meal nutrition standards to reflect the most current dietary science.

Because of the research and technology SFE had in place, not one single change in formulation had to take place to meet the HHFKA. Only sizes changes were made to better fit the individual meal pattern for school grades.

Not only has SFE put together an exception product line of over 20 bread items that meet or exceed the HHKA, but have also put together a distribution and service network that will assures all products are delivered and served to the schools in the most cost efficient and of the highest quality.

With a slogan YES, WE CAN DO IT, SFE strives to provide the best and highest quality of products as well as the best and highest quality of service.
